House of Creeps is a professional seasonal haunted attraction that partners with the Schaumburg Halloween Carnival, operating for three weekends each October in the northwest suburbs of Chicago.Founded in 2020 as a family-built backyard walk through, House of Creeps began as a creative hobby rooted in set-building, storytelling, and a shared love of Halloween. As word spread and attendance grew, the attraction quickly outgrew its original home and was ultimately forced to shut down due to local village code restrictions, a pivotal moment that pushed the creators to re-imagine what House of Creeps could become.In 2023, House of Creeps returned stronger than ever through a collaboration with the Schaumburg Halloween Carnival, relocating to Wintrust Field (Boomers Stadium). In just three weeks, a fully immersive, 4,000-square-foot interactive haunt was designed and constructed, transforming a grassroots passion project into a large-scale experience while maintaining its handcrafted, story-driven roots.Unlike most haunts with large budgets and production crews, our immersive environment is built by a small, tight-knit creative team that personally designs, constructs, and brings the attraction to life. This hands-on approach creates a more intimate, story-focused experience shaped by creativity, passion, and a deep love for the craft.
